Who We Are

The Legacy of Daquiri Dicks on the beach, a Puerto Vallarta gem for 50 years, has been energized and reinvented by Chris Diamond and Chef Wayne, who have been restaurateurs and caterers in Los Angeles for the past three decades.

Their partnership includes DD’s Creative Director and local business entrepreneur Javier Jimenez, owner of Grupo Garbo. It’s his vision for Puerta Vallarta that has seen the establishment of city’s many popular bars from Garbo’s to Industry and many more, along with the newly sustainable designed Nomada Condominium in the Zona Romantica. Javier brings his knowledge, experience, and expertise to Daiquiri Dicks with 20 years of operating successful businesses in Puerta Vallarta. 

Chris and Wayne’s gastronomic credits have included ownership of Southern California’s Award-Winning Restaurant’s Mark’s on La Cienega Blvd. and the supper club, Rockwell Table & Stage, Los Feliz – both in Los Angeles.

In 1995 they opened their catering company Crumble Catering, further expanding the market with their culinary skills and staffing expertise.  They also ran the famed NBC Studios Commissary, the dining room and catering for the Jay Leno Show, Ellen Show, Days of Our Lives and Access Hollywood for 16 years. Further ingraining themselves into the fabric of the city, Los Angeles County approached Crumble to run the food operations at the historic 1,200-seat open air John Ford Amphitheater, which was home to local cultural and musical events for families, kids, seniors and the underprivileged.

Over the years, Crumble Catering with Chef de Cuisine Martin Gonzalez overseeing kitchen operations, have catered intimate dinners, birthday parties, cocktail receptions, weddings, movie premieres, the Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscar Gala (the past 20 years) and Steven Tyler Janie’s Fund Grammy Party for the past five years.  Some other highlights from the hundreds of A-list events included: 13 Lives, Brad Pitt’s Bullet Train, Tender Bar, Spiderman, LA Chargers, NFL Headquarters Family Day; along with Diana Ross 70th Birthday Party Gala and more!
